What is Creativity?

  • What is Creativity? Creativity is being able to put your own spin on things, not being like everyone else. Being creative give people the opportunity to not be like everyone else, to do your own thing.
  • Why does Creativity matter in Education? Without creativity in education, kids would end up bore. If they can't make projects their own, they aren't going to want to do it. If you have to do school work that will end up looking like everyone else's, what's the point in doing it?
  • Describe ways you see creativity in your classrooms. In my classroom, my teacher is very creative. She uses bright colors to keeps the kids attention.

You're Hired!

1. Strengths and weakness'.
I think my strengths would be showing up on time to interview, and looking appropriate. Dressing professional, and making sure to be serious. A weakness I have is answering questions under pressure. Whenever I get asked serious questions that require an answer that would determine anything in my future, I want time to think about the best answer I could possibly give. When you're in an interview, you don't have time to sit and think about your answer, so this is something I really need to work on.

2. I think to overcome my weakness, I could have someone ask me questions and me answer with the best answer possible without freaking out if its good or not. For my strengths, I can make sure that I'm early for my interview, and make sure to look right for the part.

3. I have interviewed for a job, I didn't get it though. When I called back they said they had given someone who interviewed before me the job. To fix that I could arrive earlier to make sure I'm the first person they see.

Digital Learning Day

A good digital learning tool for the classroom would be a SmartBoard. I have first grade, so my kids wouldn't know how to use tools such as PowerPoint, or Blogger. In my classroom, we have a SmartBoard, and it allows the kids to interact with the lesson instead of just watching a PowerPoint their teacher  made. In my classroom, my kids use the board to play games with other kids.

On digital learning day, none of my teachers went out of their way to use technology. I'm not entirely sure that any of them had a clue what it was.

Make It Happen in 2012!

1. This year, I've been a bit more lazy. I figured since I was a senior I wouldn't have to work as hard, but I learned it's the complete opposite. I'm going to do my work, and not procrastinate.  In order to achieve this goal, I'm going to have to put my priorities in order, school is my most important priority.

2. I want to become a happier person. I think becoming happier, I would be more likely to want to do my work instead of sitting around and moping about my problems.

3. I want to make all A's this semester. Last semester, I got really good at procrastinating, but I want to
change that. If I make all A's, it will look really good on a college application, and I will be more likely to get into the school I want.

My ideal classroom

My ideal classroom would have a relaxed environment. If the students are comfortable they are more likely to work, they'll be less stressed, and be more concentrated. Just because you have desks in your classroom in a particular order, doesn't mean that it's going to help the students work, or be more concentrated. I want to have the class that everyone wants to go to, where the students are comfortable, but are also ready to work and excited to learn something new.
