Do you think digital media is having a negative impact on kids' attention span? What are the implications for home and school?

I think it is have a negative impact on kids attention spans. They spend so much time on the computer, they're used to being alone, and spending all their time on the internet instead of people. Since they're always on the computer, they don't have to sit there and listen to an actual person talk, and they get impatient. It applies for home because they don't want to listen to their parents, and they don't want to sit there and listen to their parents, they want to go get on facebook, or youtube. It applies at school because these days pretty much everything is done on the computer, so when you have to sit and actually listen to a teacher talk, they don't really pay attention.
